My love for writing took flight over 25 years ago in a Journal Writing class where I learned a ‘free flow’ technique of "putting the pen to the page and keep it moving". This became a powerful therapeutic tool and allows me to explore the assigned topics in an intuitive way. I continue to fantasize on writing a memoir that rivals the humor of Erma Bombeck. But the stories I could tell of my mid-western upbringing in a family of 6 sisters and 8 brothers would read too much like fiction. I am so grateful to the Writers’ Group for inspiring me to ‘keep my pen moving’ and making creativity part of my retirement experience.
